Iceland millionaire Kristjan Loftsson has restarted the killing of whales, reported by the Environmental Investigation Agency.

Icelandic whaling millionaire Kristján Loftsson, director of Hvalur hf, has drawn his first blood since 2010.

The media in Iceland has reported his vessels lan...ding their first catch, a 68ft male fin whale.

Visir (www.visir.is/hvalur-8-i-land-med-langreydi/article/2013130619122) mentions a protest at the dock and that 200 jobs will be created "on land and sea" because of the hunt.

Loftsson himself is quoted as saying that the boat will be heading back out soon but that the weather is bad for hunting.
